Of all the new Dew flavors competing to find a permanent spot on store shelves nationwide, Distortion, a "lime blasted Dew," seemingly has the biggest obstacle to overcome. Both the drink and the bottle look almost identical to the company's trademark regular flavor, making it almost impossible for a casual shopper to differentiate it.

Mountain Dew White Out ultimately won the competition after going head-to-head with Mountain Dew Distortion and Mountain Dew Typhoon. White Out had earned 44 percent of the votes, with Distortion earning just 16 percent. Distortion looked and tasted very similar to Mountain Dew, with a bright green color (via Every View). A darker label helped.

While Distortion also didn't have staying power, White Out has been available since 2010. In the summer of 2011, MTN DEW Typhoon made a brief reappearance along with Mountain Dew Pitch Black and Mountain Dew Supernova.

I don't think I was allowed to drink Mountain Dew at that age still because of the caffeine, but once I was like 15/16 I had more control of what I can buy and drink. So that being said, I would really like to try Distortion and the other flavors I missed out on. Distortion is my all time favorite Dew.
