Bird Seed Cakes with Gelatin

1 cup Raisins. 2 cups Cornmeal or Flour (I did one cup of each) 3 cups Lard. In a large bowl combine the birdseed mix, the sunflower seeds, the raisins, and the cornmeal and/or flour. Stir until everything is well mixed together. Place the lard in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in the microwave until melted.

Instructions: Line an 8"x8" square baking pan with parchment paper and set aside. Place the bird seed, sunflower seed, cornmeal, raisins, and peanut butter (if using) in a mixing bowl. Directions: Mix the gelatin packet into the boiled water until it is dissolved. Add flour and syrup until it is mixed well. It's going to look like a thick cake batter. Add birdseed into the mixture and mix well. Spoon ½ the mixture into your mold. Push straw through the seed mixture to the bottom of the mold.
